Short-Term Running Goals:

Run as many miles as possible this summer.  I'd like to get at least one week over 100 miles, but it's looking like more will be possible.  More Big Workouts than last summer.  Do well at Logan Peak and El Vaquero Loco, and have fun with those races!  Major goal for this year is sub-2:30 at St. George on Oct. 1.

2011 Race Schedule (Major Races):

March 26:  Sand Hollow Marathon

June 25:  Logan Peak Trail Run 28 M

August 13:  El Vaquero Loco 50k

October 1:  St. George Marathon

Other Possible Races:

Blacksmith Fork Freedom Run 15k

Wasatch Back Marathon

N.U.T.S. Trail Half

Top of Utah Half

Hurricane JEM Trail Marathon

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to enjoy running for the rest of my life.  I would like to qualify for the Olympic Trials sometime within the next few years before I get old and start slowing down.  :)  I also have other goals in my life, like getting my degree, having a family, and a successful career, so those considerations will take precedence, but I still think I can be a successful runner.

Personal:

My hometown is Hurricane, UT but I currently live in Logan, UT.  I am studying Engineering and Technology Education at Utah State University.

You can also check out my blogspot running blog where I post race reports (also posted here), stuff I think is interesting, and things I think might be helpful to some other runner wandering by.

Easy run just out around town in a snowstorm.  The interesting highlight of the run was helping to prevent a big pileup on the steep hill on 12th East near campus by waving my arms at people to slow down so they didn't hit the cars that had slid off before they could see them.  There are some places you just shouldn't drive in snowstorms, and there are some idiots who insist that 40 mph is ok going down a steep hill in a snowstorm.  Oh well.  It made for an interesting bit of running at least.
